Mattel Indonesia

Uno
Mattel Inc. started investing in Indonesia in 1992. After almost 30 years, Mattel Inc. owns two subsidiaries in Indonesia, PT Mattel Indonesia and PT Mattel Trading Indonesia, employing up to 12,000 people between our two plants in Cikarang and our corporate office in Jakarta.

Indonesia is a critical part of our global supply chain. Indonesia is home to Mattel’s largest fashion dolls’ plant in the world (more than 60% of our flagship Barbie dolls sold globally are made in Indonesia). Our plants in Cikarang are also a key manufacturer of Mattel’s leading Hot Wheels diecast vehicles. In addition to its own owned-and-operated plants, Mattel works with an evergrowing network of contract manufacturers and vendors, particularly SMEs, that supports Mattel’s manufacturing operations globally.

On the commercial side, Mattel has developed one of the largest trade networks in the toy sector in Indonesia. Our high quality, safe and innovative toys are present in more than 35,000 retail stores helping to inspire, entertain and develop children across Indonesia, empowering them to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential.
